Richard Brooks and Richard Dominguezrecently became full members of the National Cartoonists Society, the world’s largest and most prestigious organization of professional cartoonists. It was born in 1946 when groups of cartoonists got together to entertain the troops.
Michael Egan, PhD was born in South Africa at the height of the apartheid era. He quickly became involved in the underground resistance movement, knew Nelson Mandela and other prominent revolutionaries, some of whom later moved into privileged positions formerly occupied by whites.
Eventually Michael started expressing his opinions as political art, and has been a member of the National Cartoonists Lone Star Chapter for some time now, Recently he was accepted as a full member of the NCS.
HECTOR RODRIGUEZ, creator of the comic book series El Peso Hero and co-founder of the Texas Latino Comic Con, is now a full member of the National Cartoonists Society. Congrats, Hector!

Professor Aldama is the Humanities and Affiliate Faculty in Radio-TV-Film, and director of the Latinx Pop Lab at the University of Texas, Austin. Frederick is a long time member of the National Cartoonists Society and new member of the Texas Cartoonists. Check out his work here.
