We have annual meetings once or twice a year, and encourage local meetings as often as possible. We know you’ll love meeting and associating with some of the top professionals in the business.

With a background as a 5th U.S. Army Training Aids Center illustrator and cartoonist, and teacher, Ed Owens brings a unique perspective to the Texas Cartoonists Chapter, and we’re happy to have him join us. Check out his Texas Cartoonists page, and the link to his GoComics/Sherpa cartoons.

Hector Rodriguez is the creator of the comic book series El Peso Hero, coFounder of Texas Latino Comic Con and one of the top ten most fascinating people of 2017 residing in Dallas according to the Dallas Observer. El Peso Hero is a comic book heavily influenced by the modern-day challenges people from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border face.

We’re very pleased to announce two new members to the Texas Cartoonists Chapter. Both are exceptional talents with very interesting and diverse backgrounds. Check out their links below:
Chapter members William “Bubba” Flint and Miguel “Miggy” Aguilar are part of Kettle Art’s “Black & White and Read all Over” gallery exhibit. The show opens Thursday, July 27, at 7 p.m. and runs through Aug. 19. Bubba’s cartoons appear in The Dallas Morning News and he has illustrated six children books. Miggy has been part of the Dallas underground art scene since the early 2000s when he introduced his first comic books under the title “Mr. Zombie.” His art can be seen at bars around the Deep Ellum area. Kettle Art is located at 2650 Main St., Dallas.
On Memorial Day weekend, NCS/Texas Chapter member Davy Jones will be appearing at Alamo City Comic Con in San Antonio, but so will legendary cartoonist GUY GILCHRIST!!!!
I am so excited. The news just broke late yesterday. I have already sent a message to the promoter asking if I can have my table next to Guy…. which more than likely won’t happen, but it was worth asking.
Also on Mother’s Day weekend, I will be at Comicpalooza in Houston.
I cannot wait to meet Guy!!!!!!
